The setup

Beyond the core communications and operations role, I owned the P&L for Battle Creek Coffee Roasters, a company-owned business unit. A real small business, not a side project, and owned end to end rather than overseen.

What I did

Hiring and firing, operations, brand, and growth. Running the numbers, building the team, and moving the growth metrics, all at once.

Result

Sales rose 24% year over year, and the following grew from a few hundred to more than 1,000. It is the part of my background closest to running a business end to end.
